The Fast food industry is one of the largest industries in the United States today. In advertising the food, make up artists spend hours preparing a burger for the perfect photo. They pick through hundreds of French fries just so they can find the perfect twenty to take a picture of. They spend hours to prepare this food yet in the fast food restaurant it takes five minutes to prepare the food and people are complacent with this. For the Extended Image Exhibit this body of work focuses on the advertisement vs. reality in the fast food industry. It exposes what the food we are eating really is vs. what the companies are trying to advertise it as.
