SARAH CARTRON

An individuals childhood is the most influential part of a person’s life. This is the time when everything you encounter as an individual is new: so that you are constantly exploring. There is a beautiful innocence to being a child. As an individual grows up, they usually loose this magical perspective on the world. It is important after one grows up to reminisce over these memories of the past. In doing so the individual revisits these experiences given them a new perspective on not only the world around them, but how they grew into the individual they are today. Through the manipulation of old family photographs this artist explores her past and illustrates the subtle details of her adolescences to remind viewers of the magical aspects of childhood and the process of growing up.
